Terms, refunds & your rights
Watch the whole thing first. Then decide.
Most services ask you to pay and then hope. We do the opposite, which makes most of the usual small print unnecessary. Here is the rest of it, in plain English.
Last updated 28 August 2026Our promise
You will never pay for a montage you have not already watched from beginning to end.
The complete film — every chapter, every title, the music in place — is free to build, free to watch and free to change, at 720p with a small mark in the corner. If you do not like it, do not buy it. There is nothing to cancel and no card on file.
If you buy the clean file and it does not match the version you approved, tell us within 14 days: we fix it, or we refund it in full. Your choice, not ours.
Refunded in full
✓The delivered file does not match the preview you approved.
✓The file is corrupt, silent, the wrong resolution, or will not play.
✓We miss a delivery date you were given in writing, and it is our fault.
✓You paid for studio finishing or a change and we have not started it yet.
✓You were charged twice, or charged for something you did not approve.
14 days from delivery. No form and no reason required — message Ryan or Davis. Not refundable
—Human work already carried out. Studio finishing and custom work are quoted and approved in writing first, and charged for the hours actually worked.
—A change of mind about the montage itself after you approved and downloaded it. Editing stays free — a different edit is a change, not a fault.
—Music you supplied that you did not have permission to use, or a platform muting or removing your upload because of it.
—Photographs that arrived too late, were never uploaded, or were too damaged to use — we will always tell you before, not after.
—A venue's equipment failing to play a file we have confirmed is correct.
If a refusal feels unfair, say so. We would rather refund a borderline case than argue.1 · Your photographs stay yours
You keep ownership of everything you upload — photographs, video, music, logos and words. You give us limited permission to store, process, preview and render that material only to make the montage you asked for. We do not sell it, publish it, use it in marketing, or use it to train models. Nothing you upload appears anywhere without your explicit written consent.
2 · What you confirm when you upload
You confirm that you have the right to upload, edit and share every file, including work by a professional photographer, school or studio, and any audio you supply. Do not upload unlawful, harmful or exploitative material, identity documents or medical records. If a clear rights problem arises, we may pause the project and explain why in writing.
3 · Music
A Spotify or YouTube link tells us exactly which recording you mean. It is a reference, not a license, and we never extract, copy, proxy, cache or embed audio from those services. Music in a finished montage comes from our licensed production library, an audio file you upload and confirm you may use, or a track licensed separately for this production. Public platforms may still mute or remove music you do not hold rights to.
4 · Free, paid, and what changes cost
Building, watching and editing are free and unlimited at 720p with a small mark. Paying is how you take the film home: a clean master, projector copy, phone copy and twelve months of re-exports. Your own changes are always free. Work you ask us to do is quoted and approved before it begins. Nothing is added to an invoice you have not seen.
5 · Dates, rushes and the day itself
Tell us the event date and we work backwards. A date given in writing is a commitment. A rush is accepted only after we confirm someone is available. Rush fees are waived for funerals and memorials. Download the finished file at least a day before the event and test it on the machine that will play it.
6 · AI assistance
AI features are optional and off until you enable them. Reduced-size previews and limited project details may then be processed to suggest chapters, order, titles and music. Original full-resolution files are not sent for sorting. Suggestions can be wrong; every suggestion is editable and reversible, and consent can be withdrawn at any time.
7 · Private links, storage and deletion
Each project has a long private link. Anyone holding it can open and change the project, so treat it like a password. Uploaded media is deleted 30 days after export unless you ask us to keep the project longer. Keep copies of irreplaceable originals: EverMontage is a montage service, not a backup service.
8 · Availability
Uploads, third-party integrations and rendering can occasionally pause. Where an outage causes us to miss a written delivery date, the refund promise applies. Live chat is staffed around the clock; if that changes, the site will say so rather than showing a green light to an empty room.
9 · Liability, and the rights you cannot sign away
Nothing excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded, including Australian Consumer Law and equivalent protections where you live. Where a failure is ours, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. To the extent law allows, total liability is limited to what you paid for that montage; we are not liable for consequential loss or material you did not hold rights to.
10 · Records we keep
Each project records what you approved, when, which version, every accepted quote and every change. That history protects both sides by keeping the agreement written down.
11 · Changes to these terms
The version that applies to your project is the one published when you paid. A new term will not be applied retroactively to work already commissioned.
12 · Talking to a person
Refunds, complaints, deletion requests and anything you are unhappy about go to Ryan or Davis through live chat, or the support address published with the service. We answer within one working day, and usually sooner.
These terms are written to be read. If any part is unclear, that is our fault — ask and we will explain it, or rewrite it.
